1. Who operates TapBin
TapBin is a product operated by North Star BAS Marketplace Ltd., an Alberta corporation ("North Star"). The person signing up confirms they are authorized to accept these terms on behalf of their organization.
2. Invitation-only beta
TapBin is an experimental, evolving service provided for evaluation. Features can change or be removed, access may be interrupted, and errors or data loss can occur. Beta access is currently free and does not require a later paid subscription. We will explain any future charges before asking you to subscribe.
3. Your inventory and responsibility
Your organization owns the information it submits and grants North Star permission to host, process, display and transmit it to provide and improve TapBin. Your organization is responsible for lawful content, user permissions, record accuracy, validating AI results and maintaining its own independent copies of important records.
4. AI and experimental features
AI-generated item names, categorization, descriptions, prices and other suggestions may be incorrect or incomplete. Always review and approve them. Do not use TapBin or its AI output as the sole basis for financial, safety-critical, legal or other important decisions.
5. Privacy and security
Our Privacy Notice describes personal information and service providers. We use reasonable administrative and technical safeguards, but cannot guarantee absolute security or uninterrupted availability. Do not submit highly sensitive personal information, payment-card numbers or confidential medical records.
6. Backups, availability and exit
Optional PDF reports are convenience snapshots for human reference; they are not database restore files or a guarantee against data loss. Download and securely store independent records. On ending beta participation, contact North Star to request access to available export tools and deletion, subject to legal and operational retention requirements.
7. Feedback and intellectual property
North Star retains rights in TapBin software, source code, design and reusable tools. Your organization retains rights in its own data. You may submit feedback voluntarily, and North Star may use that feedback to improve its products without payment or identifying your organization publicly.
8. Warranty disclaimer
To the extent permitted by law, the beta service is supplied "as is" and "as available" without warranties that it will be error-free, uninterrupted or suitable for every purpose.
9. Liability
To the extent permitted by law, North Star is not liable for indirect, consequential or lost-profit damages arising from beta use. North Star's aggregate contractual liability relating to free beta use is limited to CAD $100. This limitation does not exclude liability that cannot lawfully be limited, including liability for deliberate misconduct or fraud. Applicable privacy and statutory obligations remain in effect.
10. Changes and contact
These beta terms are governed by Alberta law. Material changes will be presented for renewed acceptance when appropriate. To ask about the agreement, report a problem, or request export or deletion, contact northstarventures.ca@gmail.com.
